Title: Cave Lupum
Fandom: Kingdom Hearts
Summary: Memory is a blood-drenched game.
Characters: Saïx & Axel. Het. Yes, really.
Spoilers: Possibly for 358/2 Days? I'm really vague about it though, so I doubt it matters. Even the characterizations are off ._.

Oh my god, I'm just not going to say anything. Hurt [info]gold_panner if you must, she totally digs the abuse. If you can get through this without having an embolism, I swear I'll start writing the next chapter for MGWLiC. Tonight! If I write stuff people want to read, they will totally read the stuff I want to write, right? </non-logic>

New layout and profile! I feel like I've accomplished something now. ^o^;;

So, my last scriptwriting class was yesterday. I think I did pretty well on the exam, and though my pitch could have been better, I'm just happy it's over. A few of my classmates -- ones that I'd gotten to know a little better than some of the others -- had signed up for the Short Video Production class and I think I may actually attend that one, too. If I do, then it'll be the first time I'd be having class with people I know. Weird. But yay.

Just so you guys know, to incite an emotional response from me during a movie is kind of hard. I admit, there are plenty of movies that move ALMOST to tears, but very few if any that actually make me cry. At least, until today.

Uh, I, had a chance to borrow Devin's DVD of The Deer Hunter (1978), starring Robert De Niro, Christopher Walken and Meryle Streep. We'd been recommending older classic titles to each other, and he also let me borrow his Godfather DVD (I know, as if I haven't seen it yet, and I call myself a film student?!) but I opted for Deer Hunter first because I happen to find young Christopher Walken absolutely irresistable. (Is that sick?) I had always known about it since my dad has had a copy of it since I was born but I'd only been intersted enough now to actually watch it. I totally understand why it's one of my dad's favorites. I ended up crying right at the end, when Axel started crying. *sigh*

That post-war roulette game was... heartbreaking. Walken is brilliant and is one of my favorite entertainers of all time. And wasn't he just so damn pretty back then?? *swoon* Everyone else thinks I'm a freak, haha. XD

Did you know that his real name is Ronald, he's also a very skilled cooked, was originally trained in dance before he began acting, and has been married to the same woman since 1969 (aww, that's so sweet). I love that Fatboy Slim video he's in. Apparently he choreographed the moves himself.

Okay. I can stop now. [/end fangirling]

friends cut!

If you've been my LJ friend for any amount of time, you may or may not have noticed that I like even numbers. Every LJ entry I've ever made has an even number of comments. You might sometimes see me replying to my own entries/comments with "even" specifically for this purpose. Sometimes comment numbers ending in 5 are okay, but usually they don't last long before I cave and fix those, too.

Anyway, right now I have 277 friends and only 260 mutual friends, and IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY. I want it to be 260 and 260, or 277 and 277, or just. SOMETHING THAT MATCHES. ANYTHING. So here's what I'm going to do.

In one week, I'm going to remove everyone from my friends list who doesn't have me added back. This is kind of a dick move, because I know that most of those people are people who requested that I friend them so they could read my stories, but they probably don't want my entries clogging up their friends lists. I'm giving them a full week to notice this since I doubt they read my journal regularly because I'm not on their friends lists.

Anyway, my need for even numbers always gets worse when I'm writing Emerson, so you can all guess what I've been doing with my time. Chapter 10 has about 2k, which isn't much, but it's certainly a start. I hope to have it finished sometime before 2010, but I make no promises, since those always come back to bite me in the butt.

If I don't post again before then, happy holidays to everyone! ^_^

Just FYI. I feel better. ^o^;;

Anyway! Yesterday was my birthday, yay! Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday -- I love you all! <3

It was a bit of a dull day but I guess that's okay; Patrick and I went out to the mall briefly, and he bought me a birthday lunch and bubble tea, plus he bought our child (the hamster, haha) a water bottle. Oh, and yummy birthday cigars! ^o^;;

Afterwards, I had work, but I actually had an easy day -- my supervisor, Bao, has basically made me Young's graphic designer, so most of the day was spent in the cozy, warm office in front of the computer, on Photoshop (because Bao can't Photoshop for shit, I'm sorry to say). Of course, that just made the instances when I actually was at the register unbearable since the heaters aren't working and I was freezing. -_-;; Oh, well.

But I did have the funniest conversation with my dad earlier that afternoon. I'd had a dream about him the night before, finding thousands of dollars worth of cocaine that someone had left in the washroom of his office, and for some inexplicable reason, he kept and snorted it. Now if you know just how straight-laced my dad is, you'd agree that this was a hilarious dream. I texted him about it afterwards --

Me: I had a dream that you found thousands of dollars worth of cocaine in neat little vials and gave me some. WTF?
Dad: That's my birthday present to you, then.

I died laughing.
